According to the National Asthma Council Australia, over two million Australians have asthma and spring is the time of the year when asthma attacks can be more prevalent. A combination of the change in seasons and an increase in pollen in the air can trigger an asthma attack.
Just in time for the peak spring and summer asthma and allergy season comes the new edition of the National Asthma Council Australia's mini-magazine, Living with asthma & allergy - available now as a free add-on bonus with the November 2008 issue of the Australian Women's Weekly.
The National Asthma Council Australia’s popular Sensitive Choice register of products that are potentially better choices for people with asthma and allergies has been expanded and can be accessed at www.sensitivechoice.com.au. The register now features 50 products that have been accepted by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice review panel of experts in allergy, respiratory medicine, pharmacy, general practice, industrial chemistry and consumer issues.
The National Asthma Council Australia, in conjunction with Better Homes and Gardens, has produced a new mini-magazine packed full of tips and advice for people with asthma and allergy. The new 30 page mini-mag, titled: Living with asthma & allergy, is available as a free add-on bonus with the May 2008 issue of Better Homes and Gardens.
A new program that will help people with asthma and allergy make better purchasing decisions - for their health’s sake - has been launched across the country by the National Asthma Council Australia. The ‘Sensitive Choice’ program, which encourages companies to be asthma aware and to develop products that will be better choices, allows approved products to feature the new Sensitive Choice blue butterfly logo on packaging and advertising.
