Taubmans Easycoat with Microban
The CSIRO confirms that poor ‘indoor air quality’ costs Australia $12 billion each year in lost productivity and illness. A major source of indoor pollution is contaminated air conditioning systems where bacteria, mould, mildew and fungus thrive.
According to the National Asthma Council Australia, around 40 per cent of Australians suffer from allergic disease, including asthma. Exposure to mould may trigger asthma in those who are allergic to mould. Unfortunately normal cleaning practices in the home or workplace may not usually include regular cleaning and washing of walls so bacteria, mould, mildew and fungi may accumulate.

Microban® is an exclusive antibacterial protection technology that protects against the growth of bacteria such as E.coli, Salmonella and Golden Staph as well as mould, mildew and fungus on painted surfaces. It does not wash or wear off and lasts the life of the paint.
When microbes such as bacteria, mould and mildew come in contact with the paint surface, Microban® protection acts to deplete the cells of important metal ions and disrupts their ability to generate energy, which slows their growth and ultimately causes them to die.
